Water Blessing In Bali
Water represents the flow of energy (known as prana or chi), connecting our emotions and intuition. The flow of water guides daily life in Bali. According to Balinese believes, that water is one of the key forces of life. Balinese Hindus participate in water blessings regularly (Melukat), a spiritual cleansing ritual aimed to achieve self-purification of both the body and soul.

About The Ceremony
Not every day is suitable for a water blessing ceremony in Bali, especially when it comes to healing practices. Please consult your butler to check with Jero Melati the balinese calendar for the right days.
For the blessing you will be invited to receive a holy water cleansing. The priestess will pour gradually the holly water over your head and body. After the ceremony, you may change into dry clothes (sarong and a shirt covering the shoulders) and meditate in the shrine or holy room.
*The proper attire will be provided and explained by the villa staff.
Woman on their menstrual cycle are not advised to visit a temple to perform purification.

The priestess Jero Melati
Jero Melati was born into a priest-cast in Bangli. She spent most of her childhood in school and assisted her uncle, the Mangku Dalem, in the village of Nyangelan Kaca. She learned all about ceremonies and traditional ointments at that time. She studied Balinese dance on the side and pursued a modelling career. She is considered one of Bali's leading fashion models and has received awards for her performances in several motion pictures. Now, her talents and calling have caught up with her, and Jero Melati's deep spiritual roots are guiding her life and journey to a higher level.
Price
There is not a price tag on spiritual “services” in Bali. An appropriate donation to the holy room is much appreciated. The funds donated are used to help those in need, upkeep the shrine, and support the journey to collect energy from the many temples of Bali.
