Travel Route from Jakarta to Bali
Due to the newest restrictions of the PKKM young kids aren’t allowed to fly anymore. But that does not mean you can’t come to Bali and escape the lockdown for some days. We prepared you a travel route from Jakarta to Bali with hotels, test centers and activities. Also we made a price breakdown for the tolls and crossing to Bali.
Requirements for domestic FLYING
- under 5 years are not required to vaccinate & PCR (children under 5 years old are not expected to travel unless there is an urgent need)
- 5 years – 12 mandatory PCR 2×24 hours. (vaccines excluded)
- Age 12 – Seniors must be vaccinated and PCR 2×24 hours.
From Jakarta to Seminyak it takes approximately 17 hours and 45 minutes for the 1,188 km.
Feel free to choose between no stop, one stop or two stops.
If you are someone who wants to come to Bali as quick as possible then the no stop route is your choice! For the crossing from Ketapang to Gilimanuk a negative antigen or PCR test is required (paper and QR Code) and a vaccination certificate with at least the first vaccination. As of July 14, 2021. Please check the latest Requirements before your trip.
You want a stop during your trip? Then you should check out Aston Inn Pandanaran – Semarang. The Hotel is located in the Centre of Semarang. The price for one night starts at IDR 640 K up to 1,500 K depends on your preferences. From Jakarta Centre you can reach the Hotel within 5 hours – perfect with kids.
Semarang offers a variety of kids activity. Fun and Play Semarang, Kids Fun Adventures Island and TK YBMI KIDS FUN HOUSE SEMARANG are just examples. Also please keep in mind checking the current covid19 regulations first.
Long car rides can be challenging with kids. Therefor we recommend a second stop at ILLIRA Hotel Banyuwangi. The prices here starting at IDR 425 K a night. Additionally the hotel is just 15 minutes away from the port. This way you can start your car drive in Semarang around midday or in the afternoon. Check in in the evening and continue your journey on the next day. From Semarang to the port or the second hotel takes about 9 and a half hours.
